An Abandoned Russian City

Check out those pictures of Promyshlennyi, a Russian city that was abandoned by its citizen after the fall of the soviet Union. Apparently the government was too busy with other thing so they just cut off everything from the city and the people just left when the supplies ended!

Michel Sleiman Picture

There is no good picture of our Army commander and ?future president? on the net so whenever someone wants to write about him, they attach an old picture of him available on the army’s website to the article. I don’t really like the fact that we’re gonna have him as our next president, but since everybody is writing about him here’s a recent High Definition picture of him you can attach to your articles or modify into a caricature.

14 March 2005 Panoramas

Panorama.dk has two nice 360 degrees panoramas taken on the 14th of March 2005 during the biggest demonstration in Lebanon’s history. The first panorama was taken near An Nahar building and you can only go sideways in it, The second one was taken from the historical ruins that are in the middle of the martyrs square, you can go to any direction you want in it. I hope we can go back to those days! Lebanon was united people had hope, we were leading and the politicians were following. We had the power to change things but we messed up!!

btw: One of the tiny dots in the back of the first picture is probable me, That’s where I was standing :P .

Koukh El Sabaya – Zaarour

Koukh L Sabaya

Koukh L Sabaya MenuKoukh El Sabaya is a restaurant located in Zaarour Lebanon, what’s unique in the restaurant is that every table is carved in wood, you can’t find two similar tables or chairs in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is good (Click on the Menu thumbnails to see what they have) but you don’t really have a lot of stuff to choose from.

The restaurant is operated by a mom and her two daughters, the mom cooks and the daughters serve the food so when the restaurant is full the service is a little slow. Another problem is that they don’t have a generator in case there is no electricity, so you end up getting uncooled drinks if the electricity was cut before you came.

Overall the restaurant is nice, it’s a small restaurant in the mountain so you can’t expect it to be superb but it has everything you need to have a good time.

Trip To 3youn 2erghoch

Yesterday we went to 3youn 2erghoch, this village is located on the other side of the Cedars Mountains overlooking the Bekaa Valley, the village is very small, you can only see a couple of houses in it and some restaurants surrounding small lakes.

Here are some pictures of the trip:
